VR Technologies in Art: Full Immersion Into The Works Of Denis Semenov
VR technologies are getting ever more popular in art. Denis Semenov’s creations are one bright example. His works allow not only to enjoy a great painting, but immerse into it.
How does it work? Denis Semenov uses immersive painting method. Virtual reality relies on emotional aspects, intuitive perception of meaning and plot by the audience, and demonstrates unique descriptive patterns. All this can be achieved with the help of a VR headset.
Denis’s presentation is titled “Art in the VR”. He will deliver it at AR Conference – event that has no similar analogies in Russia, presenting AR and VR technologies. International exhibition company Smile-Expo, leader in the industry, will be the event organizer.
This is not the first lecture from the speaker at various events, and being a great grandchild of futurist artist Leonid Kuzmin, he’s the best fit to talk about the art of the future.
Denis’s lecture addresses such topics as new media art, immersive painting and panoramic 360 video in art. The artist promises a breathtaking immersion into his own paintings to every guest.
He’s been involved into the latest technologies since 2011, when he started using them in advertising and art. Denis obtained a designer and art director experience in the popular Glamour magazine. Currently he is a Creative Director at Great Gonzo Studio – relatively young and advancing project aimed at advertising agencies. Customers who know what they want are rarer breed of consumers. That’s the type of clientele that Denis and agency team is meeting at the industrial shows. The company also carries out a range of its own projects. One of them presents the immersion into the Munch’s “The Scream” painting using art and programing.
What shall we expect in the future? Virtual painting gallery? VR app will change white walls for the art scenery, where one could even approach the drawn character.
You’ll have a chance to see Semenov’s artistic works and listen to his presentation on the 10th of March, 2016, in Moscow. Exhibition details and speaker’s presentation time will be announced on the official website.
