China will be the first to see new HTC and Valve's VR headset

Following Oculus Go, the beginning of the era of standalone virtual reality devices finally marked new Focus helmet, created by HTC and Valve. It does not need an external computer or smartphone to work, just like his closest competitor.

The partnership with Google, announced in spring, will not succeed, this information was shared at the presentation of HTC Vive Focus headset. Instead of the Daydream platform, Vive Wave VR was used in the device.

The most remarkable difference of the device is 6-degree-of-freedom tracking. There were only three in previous generation. The new model will be twice more effective in tracking user’s movements and positions.

There is not much information available, but we know the headset runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and its screen is created using AMOLED technology. There is no information on the price and release date as well, but the developers announced that at first the helmet will hit the Chinese market.
