NoMatterWhat will make a 360 degree camera from an iPhone

2017-08-29

Spincle Inc has developed a device that allows you to take 360 photos with just an iPhone. It doesn’t need to be charged or connected via Bluetooth, only one application is required for it to work.

NoMatterWhat looks like a removable module for a smartphone. It consists of a 3D printed frame, spherical and aspherical lenses. Dual lenses expand the cameras’ field of view, allowing each of them to capture a 180 degree image. The device is fixed simultaneously to the rear and front cameras without any wires. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection are not required.

The NoMatterWhat iOS application processes both shots and puts them together seamlessly. As a result, we get a 360 degree image or a so-called small planet panorama. The whole process takes about a minute. Final photo resolution is 5760 x 3240 (6K) pixels.

The lens is small, you can put in a pocket or a purse. NoMatterWhat can be in black, light, brown and green colors. The module is made precisely for iPhone7 or 7Plus.

The manufacturer website has an open pre-order until September 22. Manufacturing and delivery takes 3 to 6 weeks. Spincle Inc plans to make an agreement with 3D printer companies and speed up the production of the lens frame.
